This book does an excellent job of covering a lot of what you need to know about SEO. It explains what you need to know about every part of SEO, SEM, and the new term SMO. It also gives good advice for those with novice to intermediate SEO knowledge who want to understand the big picture of how SEO works and get acquainted with many of the online resources. I like the easy reading style of the book showing step-by-step instructions using actual computer screen images of everything you need to know.

As a website designer and SEO specialist I preorder Mike Monahan’s book each year because he is the most up to date on all the search engine algorithm changes. And without exception getting this book right away has helped me answer a question I had about why some of my customers websites are quickly falling off the search engines like flies even though they are optimized. At least optimized for last years rules and not the latest. I find the value of the information in this book a thousand times the cost of this book for me. I like to keep up on the latest SEO tips and strategies.

As for those that are new to SEO, this book focuses on creating findable websites that are not just optimized for search engines but are accessible, usable, and it gives valueable informative, pertinent content before anything else. There are also lots of tips and tricks for people who like them and also insights into how to use Google Analytics. So you won’t be disappointed if you are a newbie to SEO. I find this book standing in stark contrast to most other “SEO” books. This book clearly states what it takes to build and optimize findable websites without resorting to jargon or marketing gimmicks.

    God bless.

This book came out today and I have spent about two hours reading this on my new iPad. I am only on Chapter 4 and I cannot beliwve how much I have learned. I had to come back on here and tell everyone, this is not your typical SEO book. This dude knows what he is talking about–and he knows how to explain it so someone can understand it. I have bought two other SEO books and this book by far the easiest to understand and follow the step by step instructions.
